Our Worship

What to expect on Sunday morning at CPC.

To Know Christ and Make Him Known

Covenant Presbyterian Church is a new church in Flower Mound, Texas, part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Centered on Jesus Christ and His Word, we gather God’s people, grow together in His grace, and make Christ known—all for His glory.

When we gather each Lord’s Day, our worship is centered on God’s Word. We read Scripture, pray, sing, confess our faith and our sins, and hear the preaching of God’s Word. Our aim is to worship God in a way that is reverent, joyful, and grounded in the truth of the gospel.

Our service follows a simple and historic pattern of worship (often called a liturgy), where God calls us to Himself, we respond in prayer and praise, we confess our faith and our sin, we hear His assurance of grace, and we are nourished through the reading and preaching of His Word and the Lord’s Supper.

The Preaching

The preaching of God’s Word is central to our worship. We preach through books of the Bible, seeking to explain the Scriptures clearly and apply them to our lives. Through the preaching of His Word, we trust that God speaks to His people, strengthens their faith, and calls sinners to repentance and faith in Christ.

The Sacraments

We regularly celebrate the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. In these, God visibly confirms His promises to His people. The Lord’s Supper is observed each week as a means of grace and a reminder of Christ’s finished work for us.

For Children

Children are welcome in our worship services and are an important part of the life of the church.

If you are new or exploring Christianity, we invite you to join us.
